The Requirement
We were asked to supply equipment for the walk-to-work gangway market. The
gangway was to be installed on a Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV).
The gangway is fully electric and motion-compensated and certified by DNV. To
meet these requirements, it was necessary to modify input and ratio for some
gearboxes to fit the electric motors we were going to use.

Due to limited information at kick-off, our engineering experts regularly
submitted technical drawings to ensure the specifications came as close as
possible to the customer’s requirement.
